CHANGING LIVES, ONE STEP AT A TIME
InterMaritime is happy to announce that some of our team members have accepted the challenge to run the OPAP Limassol half marathon which will take place on Sunday, 23rd of March. Taking this opportunity, we have decided to create our ‘Changing Lives, One Step at a Time’ campaign which aims to financially support the following three charities. The target is to raise EUR 21,000 (one Euro for every meter of the distance run) with InterMaritime doubling all donations (up to EUR 10,500) to assist reaching this target.
1) THE ALMA FOUNDATION:
Founded by the Theotokos foundation in 1994, the Alma Foundation is a program dedicated to the early childhood intervention for cases of premature newborns, as well as offering support to young children with mental and physical developmental impediments.
2) THE BLUE HEART FOUNDATION:
The Blue Heart Foundation and its vast volunteering network provide immediate assistance on various kinds of emergencies and rescues on the spot, including environmental, as well as offering support to families or individuals who experience poverty, bullying, violence or abuse.
3) ASSOCIATION FOR THE PREVENTION AND HANDLING OF VIOLENCE IN THE FAMILY:
Founded in 1988, as its name suggests, its primary aim is to help individuals suffering from domestic abuse, whether that is through either therapeutic counselling sessions or by providing shelter and protection to the victims.
