Scoring for a Cause - Intership’s Annual Mini Football Tournament Goes Bigger Than Ever

Intership Navigation has successfully hosted its biggest charity mini football tournament to date. The annual, philanthropic event which took place at YS Playland last week, received a vast participation of 30 different football teams from various shipping companies and others.

The charity event was held in support of the ‘Alma’ charity by the Theotokos foundation, which is a program that was initiated in 1994, and is dedicated to the early childhood intervention for cases of premature newborns, and to the support of young children with mental and physical developmental impediments.

Following several rounds of pulsating mini-football matches, the trophy of the charity tournament was victoriously won by Columbia Galacticos, one of the two teams of Columbia Ship Management.

The success of the charity event was largely owed to Intership’s large group of volunteers who vividly ran the tournament from start to finish.

“We are very pleased with the success of our annual charity tournament, and we are also proud of having so many volunteers,” says Dieter Rohdenburg, CEO of Intership. “As a ship management company we strongly believe that it is our duty to actively pursue charity work, as nothing is more rewarding than lending a helping hand to others”.

Intership Navigation was founded in 1988 in Limassol, Cyprus. In addition to its full scope of technical and crew management services, Intership also provides new building and conversion supervision, advisory on decarbonisation, marine insurance brokerage, commercial management as well as other value-added ancillary services.
